Dancin Queen

I went out dancing last night. Oh, man, is that ever fun. I love to dance! The DJ was really fun, and tried to play to the wide age range of folks in the room. I went with some girlfriends, a couple of whom I don't hang out with regularly, but they were tons of fun.

We went out for dinner first, and I had a really expensive cup of veggie-beef soup cuz I knew there were going to be "heavy appetizers" at the dance. Hey, I may as well eat them and get my $20 worth. My friend, Rochelle, and I tried everything except the hot wings (TGD would have been in heaven, Em). They had brownie bites - fudge jumbles, scotcheroos, frosted brownies. I tried them all. Mmmmm. And I would feel badly about that, but I danced my fool hind end off, so I figure I worked it off. My scale confirmed that I am doing just fine. yay!

This week, I plan to get back to the gym. Monday and Wednesday is Turbo Kick at 5:15 p.m. and I am determined to get there. Well, except for Monday when I am going to Mason City for my daughter's concert. Sigh... the best made plans... Oh, and some delusional part of my brain decided that I could go to "Body Sculpt" class at 5:30 a.m. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. ahem. I could go.

sorry that I missed it...sounds like a good time! I was at the wives night the weekend before with the same dj and danced well past when the lights came on!

I promise to be out shaking my booty next time....mommy guilt was a little overwhelming on Saturday. But I guess I could have put them to bed and then gone huh? Darn....

Ok, you totally fooled me with the new "Swans" thing. I thought I had a new reader!

You did miss out. And WHAT wives' night? There was dancing to be done last weekend and I missed out on that? Shoot. Oh, wait, I had stomach flu that night so would have missed out anyways.

oh man! I screwed up my name too!
I started a group blog with some of my old teaching friends and in the process changed my name! The name of the new group is R G Swans but not when it is just me!!!
whatever.....

The wives night was for Knights of Columbus members and prospective members! We were on the latter end of that but nonetheless I think you hafta be catlick I mean Catholic. It is a night for the men to take their Wives out for a nice meal and dance! Or a night to get them off the hook for buying a valentine. It was fun though, drank and ate and drank and danced and ate and danced.

I had the stomach flu on Sunday also but not sure it was the same as yours!

So would I have liked the dancing (you know how picky I am), or was it lots of same 'ol same 'ol (ie lots of 80s classics).
